People’s Choice Awards 2016 finalists enter home stretch

Things have heated up for the 2016 Best of the Best, People’s Choice Awards! Based on thousands of early votes, nominees with the most votes have now advanced to the Finals which will take place Nov. 1-Dec. 31. Click here to view the list of finalists, as posted on the site.

The voting section of our site is now open. To vote, make sure you are logged in, then click on the VOTING button in the black menu bar on the home page to select a category and poll. For example, if you click on Dining & Restaurants to vote in that category, a page showing all the restaurant polls will open. The polls will close at midnight, Dec. 31st.

Only registered members can log in and vote. Because our Best of Lake Chapala site underwent a complete format revision last year, a few individuals who wish to vote may still need to register or re-register, if they have not already done so.

All tallies have been re-set to zero, so that the Finalist candidates will all begin on equal footing. The voting in November and December is expected to be be fast and furious. The winners in more than 80 categories will be announced in January 2016. Winners are entitled to use the award emblem in all print or web publicity, and they will receive a certificate suitable for framing. (Both items are shown above.)

This is the 4th People’s Choice survey conducted by sponsors ImagenMX, and the 3rd online. The objective is to recognize and support the area’s best merchants and businesspeople, as chosen by popular vote.
