Viva Mexico! 'S' Arte! will bring together, for the first time in Ajijic, an original collection of Tapatio artists to celebrate El Grito, independence day weekend at el corazon creativo in Ajijic. In addition, we will offer an opening reception for native son Maestro Antonio Lopez Vega, whose new studio is installed upstairs at el corazon creativo.

The day of exhibition will start at 12 noon, for the "early birds". Musical entertainment will start at 5 p.m. when cocktails and appetizers will be served.

El corazon creativo is a retail space on Galeana # 14 in Ajijic whose mission is to empower the community by providing the tools, materials, training, work space and retail space to those with limited resources to create and sell items with a minimal financial outlay.

Viva Mexico! 'S' Arte! is a fundraiser to generate funds for the Sangre Viva Festival happening in Ajijic Plaza on Oct. 9, 10 and 11th, 2015. The Sangre Viva Festival will have its 3rd anniversary in Ajijic Plaza and is a 3 day program of activities showcasing a wide range of artistic manifestations that have evolved from Mexico�s indigenous roots. More than 50 exhibitors are lined up to for the arts and crafts sales expo portion of the festival, open to the public all 3 days from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. A variety of free workshops will also be offered as well as musical headliner Tribu on Saturday night.

In addition, Maestro Antonio Lopez Vega, one of Ajijic's most prized artist, will be having his new studio opening reception on Sunday Sept. 13th, 2015 at 5 p.m. Maestro Antonio Lopez Vega is a Legacy Artist who strives to combine materials and hues in innovative and provocative ways to leave the viewer with a sense of awe and inspiration. "Art is life" says Maestro Antonio.

All event happenings are free and open to the general public, including musical performances.
